2018 CHEERLEADING INFORMATION

The fees for Cheerleaders for the 2018 season are as follows:

WE ARE DOING SOMETHING NEW THIS YEAR. PLEASE READ THROUGH.

REGISTRATION FEES ALL CHEERLEADERS: ***REGISTRATION CLOSED FOR 2018*** $100 from now until April 31st 2018 at 11:59pm. $125.00 from May 1st 2018 at 12:00am to June 9, 2018 at 12:00pm. All fees payable to Newbury Park Steelers. There is a $25 sibling discount.

ALL Uniform Payments will be paid directly to Varsity Sports who provides our uniform. All uniform payments due on the day of the Mandatory Fitting on 6/9/18 at Bushido Martial Arts in Newbury Park.

UNIFORM DETAILS WILL BE UPDATED SOON, The details listed below are for 2017.

This typically would be a new uniform year, but we will continue on with the same uniform we had in 2017.

FALL 2018 Cheerleaders(Who have never cheered Steelers before): Expected additional cost will be about $260. This cost includes Shell, Skirt, Boycut brief, Crop Top, 2 sets of Poms, 2 Bows, Back Pack and Shoes

RETURNING SPRING 2018 TBA .... cheerleaders - Expected Total Cost will be about $245. Includes Shell, Skirt, Boycut Brief, Crop Top, 1 set of Poms, 1 Bow, Backpack (unless already purchased in Spring, so Cost will be less) and Shoes.

RETURNING FROM FALL 2017 Cheerleaders -

New Shoes: $57 AND the Cost to Replace any Items Outgrown:
Shell top: $75
Skirt: $28
Boycut Briefs:$9.25
Crop Top: $25

Option for everyone to Purchase:
Black Shorts: $11.50
Jacket: $63

Team placements are subject dependant upon the number of girls who sign up and the number of volunteer Coaches. Sisters can be placed on the same team, however for both safety reasons and maturity levels it is highly discouraged if there is more than a two year difference in grade level between siblings. Team placements will be decided and finalized by the Cheer Director.

Practice starts TBA from 5:30pm-7:00pm at the NPHS football field. Practices are 3 days a week during the summer-Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. When school starts practices will change to 2 days a week being Tues/Thurs.

CGYFL Superbowl will be on TBA

Practice attire is workout clothes-cotton shorts, tank top or t-shirt, and athletic shoes with socks. No denim, bandeaus, spanks, cheeky shorts, half shirts that show the midriff when cheering. No jewelry is allowed when cheering. Hair must be pulled back into a ponytail at all practices.

Physical forms are due no later than the first day of practice. Without a completed form your daughter will not be able to practice. Physical forms are found under the Forms tab on this website.

Cheerleaders are to be respectful to all coaches, trainers, team parent, and team members during practices and games. Disruptive behavior will result in the cheerleader being benched from that practice or game. Cheerleaders who arrive with unacceptable attire will result in the cheeleader being benched from practice.
